PlayScan

Playscan is the first tool in the world that actively helps players prevent their gaming from becoming a problem. Based on information in the customer database, Playscan identifies players that are at risk of developing problem gaming and offers them help in good time to change their behaviour.

The gaming institute in Piteå and data mining company ICU Intelligence in Gothenburg were contracted to develop a tool to actively help players. The technology is based on more than 17 years research at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. The solution integrates behavioural science, psychology, mathematics, artificial intelligence and technology.
